VED NAYAR

Ved Nayar was born in 1933 and graduated from St. Stephen's College and College of Art, Delhi. Ved Nayar was awarded for his installation Mankind 2110 in 5th Triennale - India in 1982. He was given National Award by Lalit Kala Akademi in 1980. Ved Nayar has organized/ participated in 56 group and solo shows in India and abroad. He was invited to participate in the 3rd, 5th, 7th and 8th Triennale- India.

Environment has been a major concern of Nayar's. He recalls the genesis of this involvement to his relationship with a jungle close to his childhood home.
