Born in 1962 Jaya Javeri is a self taught artist. She has had many solo and group shows.
"This collection WTHIN MY REACH & LEAVE YOUR WORRIES BEHIND combines my continued fascination of perspective, space, depth along with an element of fantasy and dreams.

Textures continue to dominate my works.
Temple halls, rows of ancient pillars, deep shaded forests--all invite the viewers to forget their stresses and troubles and take shelter in their cool interiors and comforting shade.
Women and little girls turn their back to the worries of this everyday world leaving their baggage behind often represented by "chappals" , and walk into their place of solace.
